Founded in 1959, the Association of People with Disability (APD) is a non-profit organization in Bangalore committed to creating an inclusive society where people with disabilities are accepted into mainstream economic and social life. APD's mission is to enable and empower all stakeholders to ensure opportunities, promote inclusion, and access to rights and entitlements for PwDs. They provide comprehensive rehabilitation services, conduct training for other NGOs, and are recognized as a training institute in the field of disability by the Rehabilitation Council of India.
MOST RECENT INITIATIVE : Trained 1,500+ youth with disabilities in vocational skills and placed 70% in mainstream employment.
MOTIVE : To empower people with disabilities by providing education, livelihood training, therapy, and social inclusion.
